Neighborhood Associations

Are you and/or your fellow neighbors passionate about preserving or improving your neighborhood amenities, aim to establish a positive relationship with local government, and want to increase interaction among residents? Then we encourage you to get in contact with our team to start a neighborhood association!

A Neighborhood Association is an organized group of residents who work together to represent the interests of their neighborhood. Effective neighborhood associations build stronger communities through advocacy and by organizing activities within their neighborhoods.

The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition (EPNC) is a citywide network of neighborhood associations that communicate and support each other.  To view more information on the coalition's meeting times and contact board members, please go to https://www.epneighborhoods.org.

The Benefits of Forming a Neighborhood Association are:

• Builds stronger relationships and pride among neighbors
• Creates an organized and unified voice for city government
• Empowers residents to identify community needs and initiate positive change
• Direct contact with Neighborhood Services as liaison to other City Departments
• City notices of planning applications for re-zoning, special permits, etc.
• Invitations to City activities, programs, and community meetings
• Eligibility for programs to improve the quality of life in neighborhoods (ex. Neighborhood Improvement Program)

Neighborhood Coalition

The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition (EPNC) is a citywide network of neighborhood associations designed to support one another. Neighborhood associations in each of the City Planning Areas - East, Northeast, Northwest, Central, and Mission Valley - elect a Neighborhood Council Member and altogether, elect a Chairperson to represent neighborhood interests citywide. The Coalition hosts monthly meetings with speakers to address issues and concerns affecting El Paso residents.
