Born and raised in El Paso’s Northeast, Isabel came from very modest beginnings. She and her sister, Erica, were raised in public housing, while her parents, Carlos and Elvira, worked to provide for their small family. Isabel was determined to succeed in her hometown. Isabel earned her real estate license at the age of 19 and bought her first home at the age of 20 on El Paso’s Eastside. While working two jobs, she put herself through UTEP, earning a business degree with a double major in Finance and Computer Information Systems.
An entrepreneur at heart, in 2014 Isabel invested her life savings into her first business. Since then, she continued to expand, with multiple investments in a variety of industries, including the hospitality sector, the manufacturing/distribution of service industry goods and real estate. Isabel believes that District 5 is in a crucial period of growth and needs a strong advocate on City Council. She knows that her business and real estate experience can contribute to El Paso’s Eastside.
Isabel is dedicated to ensure the Eastside continues to grow in the path set forth by Council and will focus on responsible growth through the Eastside Master Plan, the development of an Eastside Regional Police Command Center and ensuring infrastructure needs are met and maintained for the district.
